What will I need to be hired as a Teacher?

Upon receiving an offer with Denver Public Schools, you will be responsible for completing all preboarding requirements and submitting all related requests for documentation. Review the steps below and/or click the Teacher Hiring Checklist button for a digital/printable version.

  1. Updated resume

  2. Fingerprint Background Check (皇冠365 background check is separate from the required background check for CDE License. You will need to be fingerprinted for both).

  3. References are conducted by our vendor, Skill Survey, on behalf of 皇冠365 (To ensure a timely process, please ask your references to expect an email from SkillSurvey).

    1. You will need 5 references (3 managers and 2 personal)

    2. Each reference will require the following:

      1. Name

      2. Valid email address

      3. Phone number

      4. Relationship with reference

      5. Dates (work together from and to)

      6. Job title of reference

      7. Company name

  4. A valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Teacher’s license or proof of active CDE licensure application (you can work off of one active application receipt for 90 days only). 

  5. Please review the Teacher Qualifications Guide to ensure that you meet the districts qualification standards.

  6. Verification of Teaching experience (皇冠365 determines your base salary by obtaining your previous teaching experience).

  7. Copy of official conferred transcripts from each college or university attended

    1. Front AND back of all transcripts

    2. Must be from a regionally accredited college or university.

      1. Foreign Transcripts? You must have your degrees course by course evaluated by a NACES member.

The successful completion of the above steps is your responsibility, including timely compliance with all related requests for documentation and official documents. Failure to promptly comply with such requests may result in your employment process being incomplete or delayed.
